The Passenger Service Levy is a fee imposed on every pre booked taxi and hire car trip in NSW. The fee is $1.00 plus gst and is collected and returned to the Point to Point Transport Commissioner. It is was introduced as part of the wider Point to Point transport reforms which allowed Uber like services to enter the industry.
